Nominations are now open for our 5th Annual Jag Women Rock! Awards.
In recognition of National Womenโs History Month, we will host our annual Jag Women Rock! Awards that will celebrate and showcase the talents, intelligence, achievements, and beauty of women who have graced and currently grace our campus. These awards will be given to deserving and honorable alumnae, current students, faculty, and staff.

You are invited to our Latinx in High Education Symposium during Latinx Heritage month on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Our theme this year is ยกUnidos con Fuerza! Stronger Together! Our goal is also to support our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in our campus community for diverse groups that are strongly connected to our mission and strategic goals as an HSI. Dr. Mildred Garcรญa, President of the American Association for Universities and Colleges, will be our keynote speaker.
Dr. Garcรญa will be highlighting the current trends for Latinx representation in Higher Education, the challenges and opportunities that are important for Latinx success, and what the future of Higher Education holds for LatinX students, faculty, and staff.

The Heritage Committee, Student Government's Diversity, Equity,
and Inclusion, and the Mays Center will present LatinX in Leadership: Empowering the Future at 5 p.m. on September 23 in the Vista Room.
The event will serve as a panel and networking opportunity for A&M-San
Antonio students, featuring Latinx San Antonio leaders in the fields of medicine, tech, business, education and politics to tell their stories that spark empowerment.
Panelists include Dr. Lyssa Ochoa, Founder of San Antonio Vascular and Endovascular Clinic; Cristina Ramirez, President of NextGen America; Janie Gonzales, CEO and President of WebHead; Flor Iris Cox, Region 12 EBT Coordinator for the Health and Human Services Commission; and Rebecca Viagran, Previous District 3 Councilwoman.

What is HSI Week?:
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities announced National Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) week will be observed Sept. 12-16, 2022. The observance takes place during National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Sept. 15-Oct. 15. Each year, HACU government relations staff works with members of Congress to recognize the contributions of Hispanic-Serving Institutions in their communities.
