Freedom Elementary

Freedom Elementary is officially closed until July 15th when the office staff returns. Have a great summer! Keep an eye out for important updates and information as we prepare for the 26-27 school year.

We wanted to share with our Freedom Family that 2 of our amazing staff members, Mrs. Cathy Hurtado and Mrs. Yvonne Hasty have officially retired.
Mrs. Hurtado retires after giving 28 years to Southside ISD. She was our technology teacher and she has taught countless Freedom Students. She will be missed, but we wish her all the best in her retirement.
Mrs. Hasty was our ARD facilitator for the Special education department. She was a wealth of knowledge and helped not only students but also parents. She guided parents and families through the special education process, always putting what was best for the child first. She retires with 32 years in education! She also will be missed, and we wish her the best on her next chapter.
These ladies leave big shoes to fill. Thank you ladies for your service, compassion, and love of children. We love you!

3rd grade students had a blast today at their Reading Celebration! 🥳 Thank you so much to Fiesta Palebolis for the delicious bolis. 🙌🏻 The kids loved them! ❤️
