Huge news for 14 of our incredible engineering and manufacturing students at Highlands: they have officially cleared security and are getting the ultimate international high school experience in England! 🇬🇧✨

Since last spring, this dedicated group has worked tirelessly—interning and collaborating with top industry partners to earn their spot on this once-in-a-lifetime trip. Over the next week, these Highlands students will be:

🚜 Exploring alongside JCB's engineering team at their global headquarters

⚙️ Touring the world-famous Rolls-Royce factory

🎡 Experiencing an exclusive, private tour of the London Eye with the actual engineers who built it

Know an outstanding educator or campus leader? Nominations are open through Sept. 30 for the 2027 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. These awards honor outstanding public school professionals to thank them for their dedication and commitment. A nomination starts a journey that can lead to impactful benefits for the schools in our community. All state-certified public school teachers currently teaching within Texas are eligible for the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards program, as well as Texas public school counselors, principals, school districts and school boards. Texas early childhood education centers/schools are eligible as well.
