We hosted 7th grade awards today, and our amazing Apex team from early spring, Sabrina & James, surprised our students by coming back to see them!

I remember being this age when a student teacher promised to come back for our awards ceremony and didn’t. We were so disappointed. At this age, it really means something for an adult, who isn’t your parent or teacher, to believe in you and show up for you.

PTA has worked hard to build relationships with our community that supports our students and school, and that includes our APEX fundraising team, from the owners to the leaders who are on campus daily with our students during those two weeks. They get to know our students by name and encourage them in class and goals; and we’re so lucky that we got to request them back this year and hopefully again next spring.

A big heartfelt thank you to Sabrina and James for making time to come today and for coming back again tomorrow for our Knights! 🏰💛
