The class of 2026 ended their senior year with a bang, with our scholars visiting the Happiest Place On Earth: Disney World 🌐

Ms. Guevara, Coach Byrd, Ms. Gonzales, Coach Ybarra and Mr. Schoenmakers accompanied our 12th graders on the road trip of a life time just after AP exams were completed.

At IDEA Mays we firmly believe that hard work deserves a celebration to match, and this trip was the perfect way to close out the 25-26 school year.

🏆Never Too Old For Field Day Fun!

IDEA Mays College Prep celebrated a year of hard work with some games and fun yesterday in the gym.

Bringing joy has been a priority for our CP lead team, who have invested in purchasing games and activities for students and by ensuring our scholars have the opportunity to be celebrated for their academic growth and successes.

✅ We Are College Ready!

Major shoutout to these 9th graders who passed some of their TSI subject exams, exempting them from remedial courses in college.

🎓What is TSI? The Texas Success Initiative is a College Readiness test that determines if our students are ready for college-level coursework in Math and English. Passing the TSI benchmark ensures our students are enrolled in college-level courses when they enter college, which in turn saves them time in completing their degree and money by not having to pay for remedial courses.

At IDEA Mays, TSI instruction, tutoring, and testing are offered multiple times a year, starting as early as 9th grade. We prepare 100% of scholars to be college-ready by the time they enter college.

🥇🏆Field Day Funday

That’s a wrap on Academy Field Day 2026. A huge shoutout to our coaches Cazarez and Amezquita for coordinating and hosting these fun filled days on Friday and today.

Scholars were able to make memories and have fun these last few days of school as they prepare to be away from each other for a long summer break.
