IDEA Public Schools believes that each and every child can go to college. Since 2000, IDEA Public Schools has grown from a small school with 150 students to one of the fastest-growing networks of tuition-free, K-12 public charter schools in the United States. Our 6th grade team celebrated August birthdays, recognized students with shoutouts, and had some fun with Minute-to-Win It games!

It was the perfect way to celebrate our students, build community, and kick off the weekend with some Friday Huddle hype!💛💙

🎓🐎 Mighty Mustangs, Big Dreams! 💙💛

We are so proud to celebrate IDEA Mays Class of 2026 Mighty Mustangs Maria, Derek, and Charles as they begin an exciting new chapter at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas! 🎉📚

These three have come such a long way, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch them continue to grow, learn, lead, and make their mark on the world. Their journey is just beginning, and we know they are going to accomplish AMAZING things! 🌟

💡 Fun Fact: St. Mary’s University was founded in 1852 and is the oldest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest! Even more fitting, its mascot is the Rattler—so Maria, Derek, and Charles are officially joining the Rattler family! 🐍💙💛

💙💛IT'S HAPPENING! Our Class of 2026 IS OFFICIALLY STARTING THEIR COLLEGE JOURNEY! 🎉🎓

Our Mustangs are attending colleges across the United States and we are supper excited to highlight our Class of 2026 Mustangs on their first Day of College! 🐎

Jasmine, kicked-off our Class of 2026 matriculation on Monday by starting her first day at Soka University in Aliso Viejo, California. ☀️

✨FUN FACT: Soka University was founded on the Buddhist principles of peace, human rights, and the dignity of life, and offers a non-sectarian curriculum open to students of all nationalities and beliefs. 🙏

Jasmine, your Mustangs Family is super proud of you and we are rooting for you every step of the way! We can't wait to see everything you accomplish during this next chapter! 👐 🫶

Let the Learning Begin! First week? No problem!

Last Friday our Biomedical Science teachers Mrs. Reyes and Ms. Lewis held their first Biotech II lab on bioplastics! 🧪🔬

Students engaged in hands on learning and our teachers incorporated the ACT Word of the Day into a sentence stem connected to the activity.
