Wrapping up a Marathon First Week!

Friday brought Week One home in the best way possible — the Mustang Marathon! Our all-school competition had students battling across a variety of games in pursuit of glory.

The action kicked off with an all-campus Capture the Flag showdown and continued with a series of competitions to gather points.

More than the competition, though, the heart of the day stayed true to our theme for the year — be kind, and support your fellow Mustangs (Ephesians 4:32).

Congratulations, Garnet Team, and a huge thank you to every student, teacher, and staff member who made Week One one to remember. Here's to a fantastic year ahead!

Soccer, football, volleyball, cross country, and cheer are officially back on campus for the first day of practice for the 2026-27 season!

To all our student-athletes grinding through week one: keep persevering. We can do hard things. Excited to watch this season unfold!

Summer with Shepherd: Night of Service - Join us on Wednesday, August 5 at 6 PM in the FLC Lower Lobby for our final Summer with Shepherd gathering—Night of Service! This special evening invites people of all ages to come together, use the gifts God has given us, and make a meaningful impact as we prepare for the year ahead. After we serve together, keep the fun going at Raising Cane’s on Bandera Road. Mention Shepherd of the Hills when you order, and a portion of the proceeds will support our Kids and Youth Ministry. We’re excited to spend the evening with you and your family!

From Santa hats to prom dresses to gym floor chaos (we see you, spirit week games 😂), these are the moments that make LHS home.

Congratulations to Leah and Lexi, our newest Terry Foundation Scholarship recipients! Leah will be heading to Texas A&M and Lexi to UTSA this fall — both carrying this prestigious, full-ride honor with them into the next chapter.

Over the last four years, LHSSA has now seen 5 Mustangs earn this incredible distinction — a testament to the character, work ethic, and heart these students bring to everything they do.

At LHSSA, we exist to nurture faith and pursue excellence, and we love moments like these that allow us to watch our students lead lives of impact to the glory of Jesus Christ.
