Week 4 of the End of Year 6-week closeout challenge!

Get ready for Extended School Year and students transitioning to a new campus. Create transition stories with photos of their new campus. 📷 I usually email the teacher at the next grade level for photos.

📃 Your district has probably requested a list of ESY students, use that list to create a list of materials and supplies the students will need to take with them.

🏷 LABEL everything you send with their name, returning campus, and your name. Hopefully, you'll get it back!! Get started on progress reports if you finish early this week!

🌞⛱ After last week, we're halfway done, then it's summer!

The end of the year is a great way to reflect on your teaching practices. How do you reflect each year on what went well and what didn't?

✍🏼 If you're into journaling, you can look back and see the wins and lessons learned.
💬 You can chat with your paraprofessionals and other related services.
👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Don't forget to include parents too! I use an EOY parent survey to get feedback!

🤧 With only 18 days left, I've started doing just that. So far, I hated how sick I've been. Seriously, every 6 weeks or so!
😎 Besides that, I've enjoyed my new position as a Co-Teacher. I can't wait to be on the same campus next year and dive more into the role. Giving my students more guidance and instruction in class and fine-tuning my data collection - because that's had to have a whole revamp! 📊

At the end of the year, do you reflect back on how things went? Positives? Negatives? What do you repeat or change? A great way to get outside feedback is to ask your staff, your appraisers or mentors/coaches, or your parents! I usually send out an EOY survey to get feedback from them. One night I was working late on some progress reports and a crash came from the closet. ALL of my 'hoarded' school supplies came tumbling from the top of the shelf. Why do I need to hold on to 2 dozen folders, 20 dividers, and an unopened package of page protectors? I guess it's so I can be startled awake when I stay late to work!
