Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Collaborative Summit Virtual Career Expo
Please register for our nationwide Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Collaborative Summit Virtual Career Expo.
The University of the Incarnate Word has partnered with 13 other Hispanic Serving Institutions to host the Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Career Collaborative Summit.
The Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Career Collaborative Summit is a partnership between 14 of the leading HSIs in the country with at least 51% Hispanic student populations. The Summit will take place April 14 and 15 via both virtual platforms such as Zoom and Handshake and is open to all students and alumni from participating institutions.
The purpose of this event is to provide a virtual platform for employers and students to interact through a day of professional development followed by a Career Expo.
April 14 – Attend professional development workshops from 3 - 6 p.m. CST
April 15 – Career Expo from noon - 6 p.m. CST

The UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) invites all students interested in pursuing a career in medicine to attend a special information session with the UIWSOM Deans, Dr. Robyn Phillips-Madson, DO, MPH, RPh, founding dean and chief academic officer, and Andrea Cyterski-Acosta, associate dean of Admissions and Student Affairs. Attendees will learn about the DO profession, becoming a competitive medical school applicant, and the UIWSOM learner-centered, case-based curriculum. Plenty of time will also be available for questions. “Conversations with the UIWSOM Deans” will be held Tuesday, April 13 from 2 - 3 p.m. online via Zoom. Need a new headshot for job applications or LinkedIN?
UIW Alumni & current students are invited to participate in our socially-distanced Professional Headshot Event this Saturday, Feb. 27! Due to the expected chance for rain, headshots will now be taken in the Student Engagement Center (Mezzanine Level) from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Alumni ($12) and Students ($10) will receive one "editors' choice" digital photo after the event to utilize on online professional networks, resumes, or however, you see fit! To ensure safety on our campus, we ask that you pre-register for your desired time slot by visiting https://alumniandfriends.uiw.edu. Registration will close at midnight Friday, Feb. 26.
