The Department of Music and Theatre Arts featured four fantastic artists during the Spring 2026 Guest Lecture Series: Catherine Moree (Applied Flute Instructor, Northside ISD), Jesse Cuellar (Assistant Band Director, Jefferson HS), Megan Eyden (Choir Director, St. Mary’s University), and Henry Brun (Percussionist/Bandleader). We thank them for their expertise, sage advice, and also for sharing their career trajectories with our Music Majors at St. Mary’s.

Day 4 of the St. Mary’s University PM Jazz Combo Spring 2026 Recruiting Tour reached its conclusion at Southwest High School. It was a pleasure to perform for such a great audience. It was such a profound pleasure to host Maestro Ignacio Berroa as the Inaugural Guest Artist at the St. Mary’s University Summer Jazz Camp. He shared history, knowledge, and SOUL.
