This trade day put me over the profit target for my Topstep 50K evaluation. I'll do a separate video when I get the email. My first trade was not on the recording because I tried to livestream and yea, that didn't really work. I did a good job taking a couple of small losers and then pivoting when the market was saying something else. The moral of the story day was to trust and wait for the longer term time frame story to unfold, adapt when the market is not doing what I expect and then ride the wave. I expect to win.

Things done well: Trusted Long term time frame, kept losses small

Hard Pivot to Topstep. I keep hamstringing myself on the Apex trailing drawdown. I've always loved Topstep's support and trading content so when they made the recent changes and improvements I got interested. I discovered TopstepTV this week and now I decided to make the full leap and take it seriously. I'm going to do a recap on the week. Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. I learned A Lot this week lol.

Holiday trading tends to be tricky. With today being Columbus Day, I expected the markets to have lighter volume. However, both CL and ES markets gapped to the upside making things a little more interesting. I missed some profit taking on an early trade, which for me, can start a negative spiral. I did a good job by taking a deep breath, zooming out and understanding the larger context. I took a couple of small losses and then made everything back in one trade to end slightly positive on the day. This was a win consider that my PNL reached a low of about $470. I was going to stop for the day but I noticed that CL looked ready to dump to the downside. I hopped into the trade only to be faked out and ushered to another losing trade. This time with my daily PNL was squarely negative to the tune of about -$280. I did a good job by taking that loss and recognizing a pattern of potentially trapped sellers. I reversed my position and anticipated a test of value area high. I added heavily but strategically as the market confirmed that I was on the correct side. Good trade. Unfortunately, I started the recording late.
