'A happy place': Buc-ee's donates $50M for new Texas A&M facility

Whoop!

Arch “Beaver” Aplin III '80, the creator of Buc-ee's, is donating $50 million to establish a hospitality entrepreneurship program and academic center at Texas A&M!

The new Aplin Center will serve as the academic facility for new programs in hospitality, retail studies, and food product development, bringing together viticulture, fermentation, coffee, and food science degrees.

The 2022 Texas Aimbots Spring Showdown competition, a battle robot event, will be hosted at Texas A&M University by the robotics organization, Texas Aimbots. The event will take place this Saturday, May 21, at noon in the Memorial Student Center, Room 2400. The competition is open to the public, and all ages are encouraged to attend. 🤖
