St. Matthew's Day School At St. Matt's, we strive to create the most positive environment for our children and their parents. Every day is enhanced with a Christian curriculum and lesson plans offering diverse elements, including an array of social, physical and mental skills.

We are looking for qualified Preschool Teachers working with infants through age 12 years. Must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage children and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of each and every child. This position has the potential to become full time.
The hours are possibly as early as 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. or around 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. (End of day is based on children being signed out.)
Monday - Friday. *With the possibility of additional hours if a teacher is absent. Full -time hours will be offered when our enrollment increases.
Responsibilities
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
• Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher Preferred
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Certification in child CPR and First Aid
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Following ALL additional CDC guidelines for childcare. Must wear a mask throughout the entire work day. Lots of hand washing.. yours AND the children you are teaching.

Job Description:

(Hours of operation are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
• Provide loving and supportive care for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children
• Engage with students according to the cognitive, social, and emotional development of each age group
• Develop lessons and plan activities using the provided curriculum
• Maintain open and courteous communication with each student’s family
• Support fellow staff members to ensure a positive, collaborative work environment
• Follow all classroom and end-of-day cleaning procedures
• Complete all necessary annual training and CEU requirements
• Adhere to all operational policies and licensing regulations

Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Able to correctly wear a face mask while inside the facility
• Able to lift 35 lbs.
• State fingerprint clearance and FBI background check*
• CPR Certification*
*These requirements may be completed as part of the new-hire onboarding process.

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least one year of previous experience at a licensed child care center
• Professional certifications or degrees
E.g. CDA certification, or Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education

Job Description:

• Prepare weekly menus that reflect food program requirements
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for all classrooms
• Maintain daily production reports
• Submit weekly food orders through vendors
• Turn in all kitchen expense receipts and pre-prepared food item labels (CN labels).
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas.
• Ensure supplies are rotated and used in advance of expiration dates.
• Wash and sanitize all dishes.
• Clean the entire kitchen and appliances throughout the day, including trash.

Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Able to correctly wear a face mask while inside the facility

• Food Handler Certification*
• CPR Certification*
