Demo day on October 21 and 22
Have you ever wanted to know what is involved with working in the Cyber Career Field? Have you wanted to see what a Security Operations Center(SOC) looks like in a Virtual Reality environment? Stop by the Nail Technical Center, room 206, to see a demo using newly developed 3D software and virtual reality goggles to step inside a SOC and try your hand at finding Cybersecurity flags in a Security Operations Center environment.
Four players can participate consecutively, and a screen will be set up to watch students capture flags in the games and see if the players succeed. This demo is open to anyone curious about what Cyber is about.

Happy National I.T. Professionals Day!

SAC hosted the NSA CAE Regional Awards ceremony. Dr. Francisco Solis, SAC President spoke at the event opening where 11 institutions were designated or re-designated. Kim Muschalek, SAC Cyber Program Coordinator, received the certificate from Lynne Clark, NSA, re-designating San Antonio Colleges as National Center of Excellence in Cyber Defense though academic year 2028.

The SAC Cyber Workforce Development Project, offered by San Antonio College’ Center for Cybersecurity, is an intensive cybersecurity training program designed to grow and diversify the cybersecurity workforce. The program provides FREE cybersecurity training and career development for eligible transitioning military, first responders, and veterans to prepare and transition them into rewarding cybersecurity jobs in our nation’s Critical Infrastructure Sectors, including financial services, defense industrial base, and energy sectors.
