Families, thank you for making attendance a priority. Every day in class is another day of learning and growing. Not sure what time the bell rings? Check school start times at www.eisd.net

When the school day begins, personal communication devices should be powered off and put away.
No texting.
No scrolling.

As a new school year begins, we are incredibly grateful for the generous community sponsors, organizations, and partners who donated school supplies and resources to help our students start the year ready to learn and succeed. From backpack drives to school supply giveaways, your support has made a meaningful difference for Edgewood ISD families.

We Miss You When You're Missing! School isn't the same without you!

Your teacher notices. Your friends notice. And your learning can be affected, too. One of the strongest predictors of long-term success is being ready to learn from an early age. That's why attending school every day is so important!

Safety drills are an important part of keeping our schools prepared.
The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) uses five simple actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. Regular drills help students and staff become familiar with these responses so they know what to do in a variety of situations.
Practicing SRP drills helps:
✅ Build confidence and preparedness
✅ Reduce confusion during emergencies
✅ Reinforce safety procedures and expectations
✅ Improve communication and response times
✅ Create a safer learning environment for everyone

Just like fire drills prepare us for a fire, SRP drills help ensure students and staff can respond calmly and appropriately when needed. Our goal is not to create fear, but to promote readiness, awareness, and safety.

Why do we practice SRP drills? Because preparation matters.
The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) teaches five actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter, so students and staff know how to respond safely in different situations. These drills build confidence, improve communication, and help keep our schools safe. Together, we prepare today for a safer tomorrow. If you have any questions about the SRP, please contact the campus front office.
