Back to school means new teachers, new classmates, new routines…and sometimes figuring out where you fit in.
For some kids, those transition years are BIG.
Starting kindergarten.
Moving into middle school.
Starting high school.
Changing schools.
Moving to a new area.
Or simply trying to make new friends and feel a little less awkward.
That’s where martial arts can make a difference.
At Karate International San Antonio, kids aren’t just learning karate or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They’re building confidence, learning how to walk into a room with their head up, making connections, developing discipline, and finding a place where they belong.
And you don’t have to already be a “martial arts kid” to start.
No experience. No pressure. Just an opportunity to try something new.
New to martial arts? Come try a FREE intro class and see what KISA is all about.

Happy Juneteenth Karate International San Antonio & A-Force BJJ family!
As Texans, Juneteenth holds a special place in our history. On June 19, 1865, the news of freedom finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, marking a day that would become a lasting symbol of hope, resilience, and the promise of liberty.
Martial arts is about more than learning to kick, punch, or grapple. It is about building respect, integrity, courage, discipline, and a community where everyone is welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Today, we honor the history of Juneteenth, celebrate the strength and perseverance of those who came before us, and recommit ourselves to creating a place where people of every background can learn, train, and succeed together.
Wishing everyone a meaningful and safe Juneteenth.
