SEPTEMBER CHRONICLES | SGA

September was a month full of opportunities to lead, serve, connect, and represent our Jaguar community.

From celebrating the legacy of Senator Frank L. Madla Jr. during Madla Maroon Monday, to giving back through Paws Up, our SGA members continued putting leadership into action.

Our President and Vice President also represented TAMUSA at the Chancellor’s Student Advisory Council (CSAC), connecting with student leaders and System leadership from across The Texas A&M University System.

We also took part in Student Leadership Week, creating opportunities for growth and professional development, and joined Road to the Polls in recognition of National Voter Registration Day, connecting students with civic engagement resources.

September reminded us that student leadership happens in many ways—and every opportunity to serve, learn, and represent makes an impact.

Take a look back at some of our September moments!

September was just the beginning. See you in October, Jags!

SGA stands together against hazing!

What’s the limit? Well, when it comes to hazing, the limit does not exist!
In honor of National Hazing Prevention Week, your Student Government Association is bringing you with a serious message: hazing is NEVER okay. Whether you’re joining a student organization, becoming part of a team, or finding your place within the Jaguar Family, you deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and safe from day one.

At SGA, we believe leadership is about building each other up, creating a sense of belonging, and making sure every student has the opportunity to get involved without fear, pressure, or humiliation. Being part of a community should never require you to sacrifice your dignity or well being.

Real leaders lead with respect.
Real friends look out for one another.
And real Jaguars make sure everyone has a seat at the table.

So, let’s make kindness, inclusion, and respect the new trend. Because at TAMUSA, we don’t need hazing to build connections we build a stronger Jaguar Family when we stand together.
Remember, Jaguars: if you see something, speak up. If you need support, reach out. Together, we can create a campus where everyone belongs.
