Join CPR SALVA on Sunday, October 18th for two practical, hands-on community classes designed to help you feel more prepared for real-life emergencies—at home, in your community, or out on the trail. You can sign up for both or just one of them.

🫀 ADULT CPR/AED
🕑 2:00 PM | ⏱️ 1.5 hours | 💲$20

Learn how to:
• Recognize cardiac arrest
• Perform high-quality CPR (compressions & breaths)
• Use an AED

🏕️ BASIC WILDERNESS FIRST AID
🕓 4:00 PM | ⏱️ 3 hours | 💲$35

We'll cover practical first-aid situations including:
• Choking & severe bleeding
• Allergic reactions & fainting
• Low blood sugar
• Burns & heat emergencies
• Head, neck & spine injuries
• Broken bones, sprains & blisters
• Insect, scorpion & jellyfish stings
• Spiderbites & venomous snakebites
• Heat- and cold-related emergencies

⚠️ IMPORTANT: These are NON-CERTIFICATION courses. No certification card will be issued. Instead, these classes are designed to give you practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the confidence to know what to do when it matters the most.

🌲🏕️ WILDERNESS FIRST AID COMMUNITY CLASS

The best outdoor adventures start with being prepared!

Whether you enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, scouting, or simply exploring nature with family and friends, knowing what to do in an emergency can make all the difference.

In this Community Wilderness First Aid class, participants learned practical skills to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies in remote settings—when professional help may be minutes or even hours away.

From treating cuts and sprains to recognizing heat-related illnesses, dehydration, hypothermia, and other outdoor emergencies, every skill learned helps build confidence and preparedness for the trail.

Thank you to everyone who joined the class and invested in making the outdoors safer for themselves and those around them! 🌿🥾

Este sábado CPR SALVA ofrecerá la sesión práctica del curso híbrido de Heartsaver Total en español del American Heart Association (AHA). Si requieres certificación en tu idioma, ¡ésta es tu oportunidad!

📅 11 de julio
🕘 9:00 a.m.
⏱️ Duración: 2 horas

Paso #1: Regístrate directamente a través del AHA para tomar el curso en línea en español: https://shopcpr.heart.org/spanish-heartsaver-fa-cpr-aed-online . Asegúrate de tomar todos los temas opcionales, incluyendo pediátrico. Se toma, aproximadamente, 2 horas.

Paso #2: Envía tu certificado del curso en línea a [email protected]

Heartsaver Total certification course from the American Heart Association at Grace First Baptist Church.

The students learned how to respond to emergencies involving adults, children, and infants - including CPR, AED use, choking relief, and first aid.

✔ Perform infant and child CPR
✔ Use an AED
✔ Provide basic first aid for children and infants

Because when it comes to a child in an emergency, confidence begins with preparation.
