The 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 10:00am in the Rhodes auditorium. All students will be receiving awards. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend! Students you need to dress in your Sunday's best for the ceremony. :)

5 more days of school! We'll be finishing our last essay and celebrating a great school year. :)

Today we brainstormed ideas for our fiction stories! We used "photo prompts" to help give us ideas. You'd be surprised how many different stories can come out of one photograph!

Another great field trip to UT with the boys! I was so impressed by the way our Wildcat Men represented Rhodes in Austin. Way to go, guys!

We had a great field trip to UT-Austin today!! Wildcats got to tour one of the best universities in Texas. Here are some of my group members in a college classroom. Hook 'Em! \m/

Today we created our college portfolios in preparation for this week's field trip to UT-Austin. In the portfolios we put our college budget plan, information on our selected majors, and the final draft of our college essay!

Today, we wrote rough drafts of our college essays! I am so impressed by the honest, emotional writing that I read today. We revise and edit tomorrow!

We've been learning about the college application process! We're getting ready for our field trip to UT-Austin next week. On Friday, each group pretended to be a college admissions committee. They read applications from imaginary high school students and had to make some pretty tough choices!

Today we took a field trip to see the San Antonio Missions! It's "Math Day" at the ballpark.
