Six honorees will be inducted into the SAISD Athletic Hall of Fame this summer. Honorees are Ray Davis (Sam Houston HS / Class of 1983) (basketball), Willie Hall (Brackenridge HS) (football coach), Weldon Humble (posthumously) (Brackenridge HS / Class of 1940) (football), Guido Merkens (Edison HS / Class of 1973) (football), Sharon Neugebauer-Shepard (Jefferson HS / Class of 1981) (volleyball) and the 2000 and 2001 Lanier HS Basketball Teams (back-to-back state tournament). This is the 11-year anniversary for the SAISD Athletic Hall of Fame. The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 9. For tickets and details, visit https://www.saisd.net/athletichalloffame
