Congratulations to Dr. Lixin Song, Vice Dean of Research and 2026 Outstanding 25 Awardee, for being recognized at the Texas Nurses Association Annual Conference!

Dr. Song's recognition reflects a commitment to advancing nursing through leadership, research, and innovation. The conference brought together healthcare professionals from across the state under the theme "Strength in Unity, Excellence in Action" to shape the future of nursing.

Also joining the ranks of honored awardees was a candidate in our PhD in Nursing Science program, Julissa Jade Hance.

Help shape the future of dementia care at home!

UT Health San Antonio researchers are seeking participants for the HomeMed-APD study to optimize medication use during care transitions. Patients & Family Caregivers: If you are age 65 or older, have cognitive decline or dementia, hospitalized in the past 3 months, or are caring for someone who meets these criteria, we want to hear your insights.

Clinicians: If you are a Primary Care Provider, Dementia Care Specialist, Hospitalist, or Clinical Pharmacist, or home health care clinicians with experience caring for older adults with cognitive decline and/or dementia, your expertise is needed. Participants may take part in qualitative interviews and will receive $50 for each completed interview.
