UTSA Saxophonists had a blast performing Viet Cuong’s music as part of the NUMU festival at UTSA School of Music!

Congratulations to the UTSA Roadrunner Saxophone Quartet for performing at Music in the Park at Denman Estate Park hosted by city councilman Manny Pelaez this past Saturday! They had a great time performing and hope everyone enjoyed the music.

UTSA Day at the Capitol connects students, educators and elected leaders Students, faculty and staff attended UTSA Day at the Capitol, a full day of events designed to highlight the university’s Tier One research and student success initiatives with state lawmakers.

Scholarship Auditions for the UTSA Department of Music are Saturday, February 20th! We are accepting prerecorded videos of audition music and will meet people auditioning via Zoom to talk with UTSA faculty and to do a bit of sight reading.

The North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Region 4 Competition is open to all saxophonists (High School/College Classical & Jazz) from Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. 1st place winner gets $400 & all submissions will receive feedback from an amazing panel of professional saxophonists! By popular request, we have decided to extend the proposal deadline for this year’s North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Region 4 Conference. Proposals are now due by the end of the day Monday, January 4th. If you missed the deadline because you were busy celebrating the end of 2020, now’s your chance to turn over a new leaf!
