On April 22nd, we held our annual Tejano Breakfast at the Briscoe Western Art Museum - our venue sponsor.
The morning was filled with great conversations, connections and community.
This year’s theme was Tejanos at the Texas Revolution, to highlight the roles Tejanos, Tejanas, and their children played at the Battle of the Alamo.
The event was thoughtfully guided by our Founder/President, Mr. Rudi R. Rodriguez, and Marketing Director, Mr. Vincent Tavera, who helped bring the morning together.
Guests enjoyed delicious breakfast alongside educational presentations from Mr. Marcus Flores - Special Collections Manager of Municipal Archives & Records, Mr. Martin Vasquez - Historical Reenactor, and Mrs. Armandina Sifuentes - Noted Historian and Genealogist.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and supported this special event. Together, we continue to honor, preserve, and champion Tejano history.

Last week, Texas Tejano had the honor of participating in the 10th annual Real Places Conference, hosted by our partners at the Texas Historical Commission and the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission in Austin.
The conference brought together preservationists, historians, educators, and community leaders from across Texas to share ideas, resources, and plans to continue to preserve and celebrate Texas history.
We were proud to host a vendor table, connect with new faces, and reconnect with partners who share our commitment to preserving and uplifting Native Tejano heritage.
It was a great experience dedicated to learning, collaboration, and the continued preservation of Texas history, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
