The 2025–26 Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame celebration is one we won’t soon forget.

We were honored to recognize an outstanding class whose legacy continues to shape Antonian Athletics: Jim Michel ’76 (Track & Field), Rick Vela ’69 (Baseball), Alex Bissaro ’12 (Golf), Drea Peña-Kocian (Coach), and the 2007–2008 NCA National Champion Cheerleading Team.

Thank you to our inductees, families, teammates, and community for an incredible evening celebrating excellence, tradition, and the connection between past and future. This is what Antonian pride looks like.

Today, we recognize Sterling Holmes as one of the 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees. Sterling has certainly left his mark here at Antonian. Sterling has been given a unique opportunity to change and impact the lives of athletes today. We are so proud of you! Continue to change lives.

Today we recognize Annie Salinas, Antonian Hall of Fame Inductee! We are so proud of Annie and her accomplishments that she made at Antonian during her time there, and the accomplishments she continues to make in her community.

Congratulations to Ryan Black, one of the newest members of the Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame! As the first swimmer to be inducted, he continues to make his mark here at Antonian and create a path for future swimmers to come!

Congratulations to the 1998-1999 TAPPS 5A State Basketball Championship Team on their induction into the Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame! We are so incredibly proud of you all! We are excited to watch you continue to inspire those who surround you and continue to lead lives rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame inducted the 2011-2012 State Championship Softball Team over the weekend! Congratulations to each of these incredible individuals. While these ladies have long left Antonian, they have left their mark and continue to do so in their communities today! We are excited to continue to watch you impact your communities.

The Antonian community mourns the loss of Antonian Hall of Famer, Buddy Meyer. Meyer impacted to lives of Antonian students, and multiple generations of student-athletes at St. Mary's University.

Coach Meyer led the Apaches to the state championship basketball tournament in 1968, and earned the school's first state championship title.

Meyer earned All-Big State Conference Honors and named NAIA All- American at St. Mary’s in 1964. Named Conference Coach of the Year 11 times and NAIA District IV Coach of the Year four times while at St. Mary’s. Inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. Inducted into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame 2009-2010.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

On September 18, 2021, Antonian welcomed the class of 2021 into the Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame. It was such an incredible evening. The graduating class of 2017 is eligible for nominations. Established in 2012, The Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame seeks to honor those individuals who distinguished themselves in athletic competition or in endeavors in support of Antonian athletics. Those chosen for induction into the Antonian Athletic Hall of Fame have influenced our community in athletics, academics, and service while at Antonian and well beyond their graduation. Each year, Antonian College Preparatory High School celebrates the achievements of this select group of inductees along with fellow alumni, friends, and family at the Hall of Fame Dinner.
