Turn simple wire into something extraordinary.
Create sculptural, body-inspired forms in Sculptural Basketry: Looping Wire or craft one-of-a-kind wearable pieces in Jewelry Construction with Wire.
Learn techniques for bending, looping, wrapping, and shaping wire into artistic creations, from custom earrings and necklaces to expressive sculptural vessels.
Whether you’re looking to make art for your home or jewelry to wear and share, these hands-on workshops offer an approachable way to experiment, create, and learn.
Students will be encouraged to bring in gathered trinkets, old jewelry, beads, and other items such as colored wire to incorporate in projects.
✨ No experience required. No torchwork required for simple formking. All skill levels welcome.

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the unveiling of the completed mural at Lanier High School created through the UT San Antonio Artist in Residence Program in collaboration with student artists, Art Teacher Jennifer Arce, and internationally recognized muralist Rubio. 🎨✨
This powerful piece reflects the culture, history, and spirit of San Antonio’s Westside community while continuing Lanier’s long tradition of muralism and student artistic expression.
We are incredibly proud of the amazing work and dedication shown by these student artists and grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, including Rubio, Jennifer Arce, and Kim Bishop, Program Manager for Young Artist Programs.
Congratulations to all involved on this meaningful and inspiring accomplishment! ❤️
