Celebrating a Visionary Leader: Happy National Principals Day!

This National Principals Day, we are proud to honor the heartbeat of the Young Men's Leadership Academy: our founding principal, Mr. Brown.

Building a school from the ground up requires more than just administrative skill; it requires a deep-seated belief in the potential of every young man who walks through our doors. Since day one, Mr. Brown has been the architect of our culture, bridging the gap between "what is" and "what can be."

It has been a historic past two weeks for the Young Men’s Leadership Academy! 🏆 From ancient languages to modern masterpieces, our young men are making their mark across the state of Texas.

Our incredible Latin Club traveled to O’Connor High School to compete in the TSJCL State Latin Convention. Out of hundreds of students, YMLA took home 5th Place Overall in our division!

Additionally, history has been made! Junior Eli Rodriguez competed at State VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) among 32,000 entries statewide. Eli earned a Rating of 4 and secured a state medal—the first in YMLA history!

Gentlemen, your hard work and dedication are inspiring. We are so proud of your accomplishments! 🦁✨

The 2026 YMLA MLK 5K Run and Walk is taking place on Sunday, January 18th, at MLK Park!

We have two incentives for YMLA’s students, faculty, and staff:
