Say farewell to the graduating class of 2026 🎓
As the junior cohort prepares to step into their senior role, they also take a moment to say farewell to a graduating class that has left a lasting impact on their journey through dental hygiene school.

Throughout the year, the senior cohort led with kindness, patience, and encouragement, offering mentorship that helped guide and inspire the students following behind them. Their willingness to teach, support, and uplift others created a strong sense of community within the program.

The future seniors are grateful for the example that was set before them and wish the graduating cohort continued success as they begin the next chapter of their dental hygiene careers. 🦷🤍

From late nights studying to long clinic days, this semester pushed the junior dental hygiene students to grow in every way possible.

What started as nerves and learning curves slowly turned into confidence, teamwork, and determination. Every patient experience, practical, exam, and challenge helped shape them into stronger future clinicians.

The juniors have officially concluded their junior year, marking a huge milestone in their dental hygiene journey. 🎉 🦷🎉

The road hasn’t been easy, but their dedication, resilience, and passion for patient care continue to shine through every step of the way.

Now, they head into summer courses that will lead them into senior year. One step closer to achieving the goals they are working so hard for. ✅

✨Faculty Friday✨

This week we are highlighting a funny and loving adjunct educator, Mrs. Garza! 🦷🩷

She is originally from Keller, Texas and moved to San Antonio to go to school at UTHSCSA. She met her husband and ended up staying here in San Antonio. In 2016, she graduated and has done clinical hygiene since then. However she did not join us here at PAC until 2024 and we are sure glad she did!

Before going to school, she was a CNA in Ft. Worth, Texas and got experience in nursing homes and level 1 trauma hospitals🏥. She was the only one there who would touch dentures!

She chose Dental Hygiene because she has a love and passion for helping people. She wanted to help people in their everyday life and enjoyed teeth 🦷 , so Dental Hygiene is what felt right for her.

Her favorite thing is helping a patient who is scared, watching them come in afraid and slowly see their shell open☺️. She stated “We’re not there to judge, we’re there to help! So, I love seeing them realize that.” There is no statement more true than that!

Outside of work she loves to hangout with friends. They enjoy a good movie night, as she slowly gets them all into Star Wars. They also enjoy cooking together and having big hangouts. They love finding unique experiences. Her and her husband have very full weekends most of the time.

One thing people may not know is she was a 🎶musician 🎶 for 10 years and was something she thought about majoring in. Due to jaw issues, she stuck with healthcare. She is slowly trying to get back into music though!
