The Circle School

The Circle School Since 1965, The Circle School has been teaching peace in a family-centered educational community.

The Circle School is a nonprofit 501(c)3 family cooperative school. We provide programs for students in preschool, elementary and middle school.

We were all illustrators and authors as we created our first class book (now located in our class library).

Swinging into the weekend!
We were so thrilled with all the things that happened this first week of school.
There was Star Baby ✨, Friday Birthday Circle 🥳, Design Thinking with Mr. Ross 🦖, friends new & old 👯‍♂️, and of course being outside in the trees 🌳

Tomorrow marks the first day of our 61st school year teaching peace at The Circle School!

What does it mean to teach peace?
Peace begins with taking notice of and caring for our community and world.
That might mean taking notice that our classmate is having a rough day and extending an offer of support.
It might mean creating space for wonder as we walk through the natural spaces around us and take notice of the small things that make up an ecosystem.
It might mean simply taking care of our supplies so they’re ready the next time someone needs them.

Cultivating the skills of peacefulness in the classroom allows children to grow into impactful citizens of the earth.

Our staff & teachers have been hard at work prepping for another exciting school year! Yesterday was spent at The Doseum for a STEM & Literacy Workshop (and a little playtime!). We can’t wait to bring our lessons learned back to our school & students.
