Action Alert: Urge your House member to REJECT the HB 4 conference committee report *if* it mirrors the Senate version.
Texas students and educators deserve better than more TEA-driven, test-and-punish policies.
We'd rather keep the current system than move backward.

Update: HB 4 has passed the House on third reading 143-1. Stay tuned for updates on advocating that the Senate pass this important accountability reform on to the governor!
An amendment by Rep. Mary Gonzalez that would have paused the accountability system's punitive aspects while ISDs transitioned to the new testing system unfortunately failed on a 62-81 vote. Thank you, Rep. Gonzalez, for offering this amendment.
