From strengthening fine motor skills through hands-on activities to practicing math independently on their devices, our scholars are building important skills in different ways. And sometimes independent learning turns into teamwork as classmates collaborate, problem-solve, and help one another along the way!

Throughout the year, our seniors will be working together to grow their grade-level fund and help make their final year as Longhorns one to remember! 🤘🏼✨ Every snack purchased and every contribution helps support our Class of 2027 senior activities, celebrations, and special memories throughout the year. 🎓💙

Our Class of 2026 matriculant celebrations continue, and today we are SO excited to celebrate Christopher, Emily, Ivan & Eriksson! 🤘🏼✨

On Tuesday, August 18, these four Longhorns officially began their college journey at St. Mary’s University⁠ right here in San Antonio! 🎓🐍

🌟 FUN FACT: St. Mary’s University was founded in 1852 and is not only the first institution of higher learning in San Antonio, but also the oldest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest!

From walking the halls of IDEA Brackenridge College Prep to officially becoming OLLU Saints, this is what COLLEGE FOR ALL looks like! 🎓🙌

What an AMAZING first week back at IDEA Brackenridge College Prep!🤘Our Longhorns came ready to learn, grow, and make this year something special — and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than kicking off our Woot Woot Wagon!

This week, each member of our Lead Team had the opportunity to recognize one outstanding staff member AND one outstanding scholar who demonstrated one of our IDEA Core Values! 🌟

Our Woot Woot Wagon is more than just treats and celebrations — it’s our way of making sure the incredible things happening across our campus are seen, celebrated, and appreciated. Whether it’s showing kindness, working hard, stepping up as a leader, supporting others, or going above and beyond, we want our Longhorns to know that their actions matter! 💙💛

‼️ ATTENTION ACADEMY FAMILIES, Sports Tryouts are coming up! ‼️

Our 3rd–5th grade scholars are invited to try out for Flag Football and Volleyball on Friday, August 21 from 4:30–5:30 PM!

*Drop-off AND Pick-up through Gate A*

Tryouts are CLOSED to parents, and all scholars must have a current sports physical and completed SB-12 Consent in order to participate. Please bring water and appropriate athletic clothing/shoes.

New to IDEA or need an updated physical? Scholars may bring their completed physical with them to tryouts. *Forms available in our Front Office*

Longhorn families, an important health reminder!🩺

IDEA Brackenridge will be conducting our annual student health screenings between August and November! These state-required screenings help us support the health and well-being of our scholars throughout the school year.

Screenings will include vision, hearing, Texas Risk Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes, and spinal screenings.
