Our alumni shoutout this time is all about Fabio Quintero! This 2014 political science graduate from Mexico City has two words for future Cardinals: Carpe Diem! Fabio wanted to highlight Dr Lydia Andrade, Sheena Connell, Amy DeStefano, and Scott Dittloff. Today, Fabio is the HR and Legal Director for Nearsol and thanks UIW for giving him the tools to have a wide perspective regarding business. Keep having adventures, Fabio!

Today we are shouting out Gada Soto, an incredible alumnus originally from Honduras who received their bachelor’s in business from UIW and then continued and obtained her master’s in education from our Global Online program! Soto’s fondest UIW memory was meeting her husband, and she also wanted to highlight UIW’s cutting edge education curriculum and wanted to thank Amy DeStefano, Dr. Alicia Rubio, and Dr. Alberto Rubio for all their support. Soto now works at Colegio Ingles, a top school in Monterrey, Mexico

Happy New Year from UIW International Admissions! To kick off 2026, we wanted to highlight one of our incredible international alumni, Yusuff Ojebode! Originally from Birmingham, United Kingdom, Yusuff had a packed schedule here in San Antonio, balancing being a student athlete, a tutor at the writing center, and pursuing his business management degree! Some of his best memories here at UIW involve reaching the conference final and all the vibrant campus events. When asked about advice for new students, Yusuff stressed the importance of internships and practical experience. Now, Yusuff is working towards his MBA with us while working as the Men’s Soccer Graduate Assistant!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from all of us at UIW International Admissions! Our offices will be closed for holiday break as of end of day, Friday the 19th of December, and will reopen on January 5th! Alex Giles graduated from UIW with her cultural studies degree back in 2023 and is now living the dream as the assistant women’s golf coach at the University of Cincinnati! Originally hailing from Bath, England, Alex thrived as a part of UIW’s golf team and has said that our team’s culture has helped her excel in her current role. Alex wanted to shout out fiesta, living in the moment and Dr. John Kainer, a sociology professor who “is a truly amazing individual who wants nothing but the best for all of his students.” Keep soaring, Alex!
