All 50 graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2026 passed the National Physical Therapy Examination on their first attempt, achieving a 100% first-time pass rate, an accomplishment reached by very few programs nationwide.

Associate Professor Cathy Torrington Eaton, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the new chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders following the retirement last month of founding chair Fang-Ling Lu, PhD, CCC-SLP, FASAHP.

The department's medically focused Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program has established a strong reputation since welcoming its first cohort of students in 2018.
