Here is a little sneak peek into one of our classrooms.

One special area you will find in our early childhood and elementary school classrooms this year is our calming corner. This is a cozy safe space where children can learn to take a break, practice calming strategies, and return to learning when they’re ready. We all have big feelings sometimes and learning how to recognize and manage those emotions is an important part of growing up.

As we grow together this year, we will also learn that we can trust God with our emotions, knowing He is always with us and cares for us through every feeling. Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

We can’t wait for your little ones to explore our classrooms and make it their home away from home. We’re getting everything ready for an amazing school year and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

A huge thank-you to Margarita Foss for being our Mystery Reader in the second grade last week! She shared her two favorite stories, "The Night Before Christmas" and "The Very First Christmas." The students absolutely loved it. We’re so grateful she took the time to read to our class!
