They say that when you find a job you love, you never work a day in your life. But I believe the true gift is finding a community you love growing with.

To the entire Ellison community — staff, students, and families — thank you for allowing me to be part of something so special. These 12 years together have shaped me both personally and professionally in ways I will always carry with me.

To our incredible staff: thank you for being my support system, my teammates, and so often the bright spot in my day. Thank you for the teamwork, the laughter, the dedication, and for loving our students so deeply. I could not have asked for a better team to grow alongside.

To our Ellison families: thank you for trusting me with your children and for welcoming me into your lives. It has been such an honor to walk alongside your families throughout this journey. Seeing your faces, your support, and your children’s smiles has truly been one of the greatest gifts of my career.

As I transition into my new role as Principal of Howsman Elementary, please know that Ellison will always hold a very special place in my heart. While my journey is taking me to a new campus, the relationships and memories built here will remain with me forever.

I wanted to share this song as a reminder that distance never changes the care and appreciation I have for this community. Just like the lyrics say: “Winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call.” Whether you are a colleague, a student, or a parent, please know that you’ve always got a friend in me.

What a way to wrap up the year! We closed out our final celebrations with the ultimate showdown: the Hula Hoop Queen Bee Contest. The competition was fierce, the hips were moving, and the laughter was loud!🐝

Future’s so bright, they’ve gotta wear shades! 😎 So proud of these kids as they level up to middle school. Watch out world, here they come!
