Compete in this semester’s $100K Student Technology Venture Competition!
This annual competition gives students hands-on experience as early stage entrepreneurs. Teams of interdisciplinary students work throughout the semester to develop a technology demonstrator/prototype, business pitch, and business plan to successfully develop a new company. Imagine…your senior design project turning into a new startup company.
Winning teams have access to a prize pool of over $100,000 in funding and services to launch their new company.

The entrepreneurship bootcamp was a great success! Our ‘Runners got a chance to meet with the stalwarts of the SA startup community - Somer Baburek, Nick Spiller, Matthew Espinoza, John Navarro, Ben Jones, Sebastian Garzon, and more!

The Big Rowdy Idea (BRI) is used to teach the Lean Startup Methodology to budding entrepreneurs and prepare participants to launch scalable entrepreneurial ventures while simultaneously pursuing their degree program or working at UTSA.

Explore entrepreneurship essentials at upcoming UTSA boot camp MARCH 2, 2022 — The UTSA Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE) program will host its biannual Entrepreneurship Boot Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the National Security Collaboration Center’s fifth floor conference room (NPB 5.140) on the UTSA Main Campus.
