This Memorial Day, we honor the many military heroes who have given their lives in service to our country.

We remember their sacrifice with deep gratitude and recognize the enduring impact they have had on generations of Americans. Their courage reminds us of the importance of leadership, service, and community. 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the fallen and keep their families in our thoughts.

What a great day in McAllen!

The Edu-Source Corporation was proud to co-sponsor yesterday’s Procurement Summit with LMS Associates, and we’re still feeling the energy from such a productive day.

More than 40 attendees joined us from school districts and organizations across the region, bringing great questions, thoughtful ideas, and real engagement from start to finish.
The day was packed with practical, timely conversations around cost control, budget alignment, procurement strategies, vendor partnerships, equipment planning, job order contracts, architecture and engineering needs, and more — all topics that matter as districts continue planning for the future.

Most of all, we’re grateful for the chance to spend time with current partners, meet new faces, and continue building relationships that help us better serve school communities.

A big thank-you to LMS Associates, everyone who attended, and the many presenters and industry partners who shared their time, expertise, and insight throughout the day.

We were especially grateful to have so many knowledgeable voices join our own Patsy Ramirez, RD, LDN, Director of Business Development, and Alex Rios, Business Manager, including:

Carmen Ocanas Lerma, MEd, SNS
Lionel Frederick, Project Manager, Cantu Construction
Julio Cerda, PE, South Texas Infrastructure Group, LLC
Eduardo Vela, AIA, EGV Architects, Inc.

Happy School Lunch Hero Day! 💛

Today is the perfect day to thank someone who makes a difference in your school community every single day.

Behind every meal served is a team of dedicated professionals who show up early, work tirelessly, and care deeply about the students they serve. They fuel learning, create welcoming spaces, and often offer a smile or kind word that means more than they know.

At The Edu-Source Corporation, we’re proud to support the environments where these heroes shine—but today is all about them!

👉 Who’s your School Lunch Hero? Tag them. Thank them. Let’s celebrate them!❤️

School cafeterias work hard every single day—your materials should, too. 🍎

From busy lunch periods to constant cleaning, these spaces take a lot of wear and tear.

That’s why we focus on:
✔️ Durable surfaces that hold up to daily use
✔️ Easy-to-clean materials for quick turnarounds
✔️ Food-safe finishes built for long-term performance

Because a well-designed cafeteria isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it works.

We’re proud of Patsy Ramirez, our Director of Business Development, for representing The EduSource Corp at the School Nutrition Association’s Legislative Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

As a former School Nutrition Director and now an industry partner, Patsy (pictured far right) brings both perspectives to conversations on the importance of strong school meal programs and the role federal policy plays in supporting students’ health, learning, and well-being.

When we support school nutrition, we support student success.

Ready or not…Daylight Savings Time is here! Time to reset the clocks in your classrooms, cafeterias and the like. We’re curious; how do you weigh in on this modern American debate?

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 A.M., when clocks will “spring forward” one hour to Daylight Saving Time. Most people will set their clocks forward before going to bed on Saturday night, March 7, so they wake up at the correct time Sunday morning. . . but WHY?? 🕑️

Many Americans feel that changing clocks is outdated. In recent years, public frustration has fueled political momentum to make either DST or Standard Time permanent. While Congress has not yet passed legislation for permanent DST, states are taking matters into their own hands, and 29 states are actively pursuing some form of permanent time change.

In the U.S., there are some exceptions to DST that already exist: Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation), Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.

Are you someone who wants to "lock the clock"? Let us know what you think! Almanac.com/states-object-changing-clocks-daylight-saving-time
