Even though school is out for the summer, we love getting little glimpses of what our Rise kiddos have been up to! ☀️

From beach days and Vacation Bible School to birthday celebrations, fun with furry friends, and so many other adventures, it’s been such a joy to see our students making special summer memories with the people they love.

A big thank you to our wonderful Rise families for sharing these sweet snapshots with us. We miss our kiddos and cannot wait to welcome everyone back for another year of learning, growing, and making memories together!💛

Who knew a cup of water and a paintbrush could keep little ones entertained for so long?💦🎨

A paintbrush, some water, and a little imagination are all you need for this fun, mess-free summer activity!

As Leslie shares, water painting can be adapted for children of all ages and abilities while supporting skills like fine motor development, core strength, pre-writing, and even handwriting practice.

Simple, affordable, and easy to take outside on a warm summer day, water painting is an easy way to encourage creativity, movement, and learning through play.☀️

There’s something special about welcoming new educators into a community built on inclusion, growth, and belonging, and we are so excited to welcome Chloe to The Rise School of San Antonio this fall!☀️

Born and raised in San Antonio, Chloe brings four years of childcare experience and a heart for helping children learn, grow, and thrive.

She holds her Child Development Associate credential and is currently pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies. Chloe hopes to continue her studies and one day become a speech language pathologist working with children with developmental delays.

When asked what she loves most about being an educator, Chloe shared that making a positive impact on children is what matters most to her. We think she’ll fit right in at Rise.💛

Outside the classroom, Chloe enjoys relaxing by the water, drawing, and singing. Her favorite part of the school day? Music time with the kids, of course!🎵

We cannot wait for our students and families to get to know Chloe and are so excited to have her as part of the Rise family this school year.

This Disability Pride Month, we’re celebrating Alessia and the incredible progress she has made with the support of her Rise School community.💛

When Alessia first came to Rise, she relied on a walker to help her get around. Eight months later, she has reached so many of her goals, including independently getting to the sink to wash her hands, moving through her surroundings with more confidence, and walking with greater stability and independence.

Our physical therapist Claudia Foster, along with Alessia’s teachers, therapists, and the entire Rise team, have loved being part of her journey and watching her grow every step of the way.☀️

We are so proud of Alessia and all that she continues to accomplish. Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the unique strengths, abilities, and individuality of every child. We’re honored to celebrate Alessia today and every day.

Congratulations to the Texas Cavaliers!💛

It’s so sweet to spot a few familiar faces among the celebration, including some of our students and staff members proudly representing the Rise community.

This photo is a special throwback to 2025, when The Rise School of San Antonio was honored to be recognized as a Texas Cavaliers River Parade honoree.☀️

100 Years of Stories

Before motors powered the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, the first barges relied on members of the Sea Scouts who guided them through the San Antonio River using poles and oars. Their teamwork and dedication helped bring one of Fiesta's most beloved traditions to life. 🚣‍♂️

Looking for an easy summer activity that does more than keep your child entertained? Grab a box of chalk!🖍️

With just sidewalk chalk, you can build so many important developmental skills while having fun together. These activities can be easily adapted based on your child’s age and abilities, making them a simple way to encourage learning through play.

In this video, our School Director, Leslie (who also happens to be an Occupational Therapist!), shares how chalk activities can help children practice:
☀️ Fine motor skills
☀️ Shape and color identification
☀️ Early math and cognitive skills
☀️ Shoulder and core strength through vertical play, helping build the foundation for future handwriting

Pre-academic learning at home is easier than you may think, and sometimes all it takes is a little creativity and a box of chalk.

Know a parent looking for easy summer activities? Share this with them!💛

We asked our teachers to send in a few of their favorite moments from this past year, and these are just some of the highlights from the 2025–2026 school year at Rise School San Antonio.💛

From Waddler to Toddler to PreK-3, it has been such a joy to watch these kiddos learn, grow, and shine in their own way this year.

It is always a little bittersweet looking back at how much they have changed in just one school year, but it is also such a beautiful reminder of the work happening every day in our classrooms.

We are so grateful for these moments and even more excited for what is ahead at Rise.☀️

Think your kiddo might be a great fit? Sign up for a free play date today at the link in comments.

“We believe that parents are the experts on their children.” 💛

At The Rise School of San Antonio, every child begins the year with a plan designed just for them.

Before the school year begins, families meet with our lead teacher and therapy team to share their child’s strengths, goals, and unique needs. Together, we create individualized goals that may focus on language, speech, occupational therapy, physical development, social-emotional growth, and more.

Whether your child is enrolled as a typically developing learner or a child with a disability, they have access to our therapy team and a learning environment designed to help them thrive. ☀️

We continue those conversations throughout the year with mid-year and end-of-year parent meetings because we believe the best outcomes happen when families and educators work together.

If you are looking for a personalized preschool experience where your child is truly known, we would love to meet you. Schedule a play date today and discover if The Rise School of San Antonio is the right fit for your family.

Last Friday was our last day of school at Rise School San Antonio, and there were a lot of emotions as we wrapped up the year.💛

It was a day full of hugs, tears, smiles, and gratitude from teachers, families, and staff. What makes Rise special is the care our team puts into each student every day, and that really showed in every classroom and interaction.

We hope all of our families have a great summer break this July.☀️

We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and returning students in August for the 2026–2027 school year, which will also include our new PreK-4 classroom. That means we don’t have to say goodbye to our PreK-3 students this year, and we’re so excited to get to keep learning and growing together.

Here’s to another great year at Rise, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in August.😊
