Maverick Elementary, 7 p.m.

We are working on getting electricity to our campus, and expect our power to return tonight. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back to school tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 31, for a day of learning and healthy meals.

Estamos trabajando para restablecer el poder eléctrico en la escuela y esperamos que la electricidad regrese esta noche. Esperamos con entusiasmo dar la bienvenida nuevamente a nuestros estudiantes y personal mañana, lunes 31 de agosto, para un día de aprendizaje y comidas saludables.

SAISD schools will operate on a normal schedule Monday, Aug. 31. CPS Energy continues working to restore service, and district teams are actively inspecting campuses to ensure they are safe, operational, and ready to welcome students and staff.

We will provide another update at approximately 6 p.m.
