She is in the top 3 for the San Antonio Mini Master Builder competition and its closing today! I am beyond excited to KICK OFF the FIFTH annual Books for Mendota Book drive! 🏈📚😍

Every year I've been so blessed to partner with the Graves Humes Public Library in my hometown to give books to the kids in the community over the holidays.

This year we have another HUGE goal of $3000 to make this Christmas magical for the kids. With the help of my friend and fellow book lady, Kitty Decker, I know we are going to hit it! Let's MAKE this HAPPEN!!!

With just 120 gifts of $25 we can get there! Can you help?!

Have you ever ended up somewhere in life with no knowledge of how you got there?

Four years ago, I was expecting our second daughter and had just left a close knit mom-squad community for a new adventure abroad with my hubby. I struggling with finding that community again and realized that I had lost all sense of “me”.

I was headed down a road of depression and anxiety that I was really unfamiliar with. I felt like my days consisted of everything doing everything for my family and I was quickly loosing track of myself.

Fast forward to today, and I have found my "thing". That area that is just for me and something I can pour into. I think the biggest surprise is it hasn't really been just for me...ever. Yes it truly has given me the gift of direction and purpose personally but it has blessed my family and others as well.

The list of things my "little book business" has done for our family is long. I am so unbelievably grateful that God opened this door for us AND that we decided to take the leap. Sometimes I wonder how different our lives would be if we would have made a different choice. Is there something special you would love to do for your family? Or a simple need your family has? I can't even tell you what day we're on of shelter in place. Each day is a testimony to grace and faith! Tonight I'm breaking up the monotony and having a little book get together online! (true social distancing style 😜)

I'm going to be sharing resources for learning from home, books for beating the boredem and some Easter basket fillers-because we all know you can't go out and shop for those!! 🐣
