In case you missed it, we had the incredible Sonny Melendrez as our guest speaker at our platica! A huge THANK YOU to Sonny for sharing his amazing energy, wisdom, and inspiration with us! It was an unforgettable experience! 🎉

We attended the inaugural ACD Consortium Summit ACD district offices. Connected with cross-college leadership programs and participated in great programming led Dr. Eric Castillo and SACMEN Alum Domingo Figueroa.

Thank you to the University of Texas at Austin Project M.A.L.E.S. program for leading our February Platica. Great interactions and participation from our students.

Our SACMEN did an amazing job representing San Antonio College on the student panel for the 23rd Institute for the Texas Education Research Consortium. We are SACProud. Thank you to the College of Education at Texas Christian University for hosting the consortium.

This past Thursday, SACMEN made mini tacos for the tailgate event at SAC. The event turned out amazing, we sold out very quickly, we appreciate everyone who volunteered! SACMEN also had a Communities in Schools as they are being trained to mentor the youth!

SACMEN President Nathan and SACMEN Vice President Jayden attended the 2024 MALDEF gala at the invitation of SAC President Dr. Francisco Solis. This was an amazing opportunity to connect with this organization.

Our first Platica of the year and we thank our panels of former SACMEN. Thank you Dominic for your visit and sharing your insights. Dom is one of the original SACMEN students that set the foundation for our current group.

Our carne asada food booth for the annual SAC Antojitos festival was a huge success. Sold out in about two hours.

We had the amazing opportunity to contribute our student voices to the My Brother’s Keeper San Antonio network. We look forward on collaborating with the dozen of partners that represent the greater San Antonio and Bexar County community.
