It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and teacher, Leanna Ruiz.

Leanna was an integral part of the Palo Alto College Veterinary Technology Program and a cherished member of our community. Her passion for veterinary medicine, unwavering dedication to her students, and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was not only a brilliant technician, but also a source of strength, laughter, and inspiration to so many.

Leanna's legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched—through the students she mentored, the animals she cared for, and the friendships she so deeply valued. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, and we will miss her dearly.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts as we all begin to grieve this immense loss together.
