What a busy start to the summer! Alliance leaders have tabled at SAISD’s inaugural Facilities Conference, held our yearly Strategic Planning, joined a public education round table to share our members priorities with our endorsed candidate for Texas Governor, Gina Hinojosa’s campaign, and attended the 2026 Labor Notes conference to learn from union leaders from across the country and around the world.

The Texas House could have a public school teacher in its ranks
Adrian Reyna could be one of the first public school teachers and labor activists from San Antonio to serve in the Texas House.

Congratulations to our Executive Vice-President, Adrian Reyna, who won his run-off election last night for Texas House District 125. For years, Adrian has organized alongside workers, students, and families for the schools our students deserve. We are so proud to support him as he prepares to take that fight to the Texas Capitol. Looking forward to getting him over the finish line in November!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers do the most important job in the world and it’s more important than ever to show them appreciation in meaningful, material ways.

On May Day we rallied and marched in solidarity with working people across the world, standing up for an economy that works for working people, not just the billionaire class. Workers, organizers and leaders from over 30 labor unions and community organizations were represented in a city-wide working class coalition addressed by labor-endorsed champions like and our very own Secretary-Treasurer .
Workers make our city, our state, and our country run. And together, workers will build a better future for all.
Workers over billionaires!
