We are incredibly proud and delighted to announce that our Senior Program Coordinator, Minako Shibazaki, has received the Order of the Roadrunner Award at today’s 2026 UT San Antonio University Excellence Awards ceremony.
 
This recognition is a true reflection of the difference she makes every day to the Roadrunner community. We are grateful and inspired by her dedication, leadership, and the positive influence she continues to have on so many lives.

We treated our PhD and Postdoctoral students and their loved ones to an all‑paid trip to the San Antonio Botanical Garden to experience Viva Botanica - an official Fiesta® San Antonio celebration bursting with music, crafts, and culture 💃🏽🌼

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our office will be closed on January 19.

We’ll be back on January 20 to kick off the first day of classes 📚 we can’t wait to see you! 💙

We are still soaking this exclusive Spurs experience - the kind of on-court access that isn’t open to just anyone. A memorable night with an incredible group of international students!

The global engagement team hosted Ms. Berta Jarošová, Cybersecurity Attaché and First Secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, during her visit to San Antonio! 🤝 We introduced her to our university and the local cyber ecosystem, including UTSA’s Institute for Cyber Security and the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security. Her visit also featured connections with the CyberTexas Foundation, Texas Cyber Command, and Port San Antonio — fostering collaboration and strengthening international cybersecurity partnerships.
