Boutique music lessons for all ages on most instruments. The House on Magnolia is a music studio in the home of Michael Kelly, where all week long music lessons and rehearsals are taking place adjacent to the front room. Lessons are easy to set up, affordable, and offered on most popular instruments:
-Guitar
-Piano
-Trumpet
-Clarinet
-Saxophone
-Drums

The main goal of lessons are to encourage people to make music with other people. I often play other instruments while we practice our songs during lessons, culminating in a performance (2-3 annually) where other students or professional musicians will accompany. As the students basic understanding of music grows, we pick songs that they enjoy and will challenge them. If the student is open to it, I always try to introduce jazz into their playing because of the fluid and interactive nature of the music. I personally feel that musically, jazz is the platform where self-expression is able to grow and experiment openly. All lessons are geared specifically to the interest of the individual student. Whether it's a young child getting familiar with a piano or an eighty year-old brushing up on their guitar skills, this is the place to come and to grow as a musician. RATES:
$115 monthly - 30 minute weekly lessons

We got to hang with our friend Ryan Weber down at KRTU 91.7 FM yesterday and see him in action spinning Jazz records for San Antonio. We’re all huge fans of Jazz and the station, se the fact that we’re talking about a collab in the future is pretty cool. 👀
