The main goal of lessons are to encourage people to make music with other people. I often play other instruments while we practice our songs during lessons, culminating in a performance (2-3 annually) where other students or professional musicians will accompany. As the students basic understanding of music grows, we pick songs that they enjoy and will challenge them. If the student is open to it, I always try to introduce jazz into their playing because of the fluid and interactive nature of the music. I personally feel that musically, jazz is the platform where self-expression is able to grow and experiment openly. All lessons are geared specifically to the interest of the individual student. Whether it's a young child getting familiar with a piano or an eighty year-old brushing up on their guitar skills, this is the place to come and to grow as a musician. RATES:
