UTSA Housing and Residence Life The UTSA Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL) at UTSA has 5 housing communities Why live on campus? The convenience of living on campus is invaluable.

Studies show students who reside on campus report a higher degree of satisfaction with their college experience, have higher retention and graduation rates, and are more likely to achieve a higher grade point average. Students are within walking distance of the library, classroom buildings, the University Center, dining options, Health Services, and the Campus Recreation Center. They can get to ea

rly morning classes without fighting traffic, and participate in a late-night study group at the library or University Center without concern about the drive home. On-campus residents also have the added security of a dedicated University police force that patrols the campus 24 hours a day. UTSA's housing options offer flexible leasing choices for students that are graduating, studying abroad, or those starting in January or May. Refer to each provider's contract for details as requirements may vary. Housing and Residence Life (HRL)
Rates for all UTSA Housing and Residence Life (HRL) communities include all utilities, internet, cable television, and laundry services. Currently Alvarez Hall, Chisholm Hall, Guadalupe Hall, Chaparral Village and Laurel Village are accepting a applications for Fall 2021. On campus housing is still available at University Oaks. Guadalupe Hall is UTSA's newest residential community and is conveniently located near the Roadrunner Cafe. Residents have a shared bedroom and share a community bathroom with other students in their housing pod. Guadalupe Hall includes a coffee shop on the first floor and ample individual and group study spaces accessible 24 hours a day.
