It's time to make an announcement. Now, on the surface, this will seem like a sad thing, but it's really a bad news/good news situation! Life has become SUPER busy in the WT household, and our human inhabitants need a bit more attention for now. So, as of right now, Wild Times is officially taking a hiatus from the bulk of our programs. Our contract with the Texas Wildlife Association is on hold for now. We may be available for private engagements on a case by case basis, until further notice.
That being said...here comes the GOOD news! Part of what makes our life so busy these days is the development of what will become a bigger and better Wild Times! We've purchased land, and are in the process of putting in utilities, fencing, caging, etc. so hopefully we can come back stronger than ever! What incarnation Wild Times will be in that instance is yet to be seen, but, rest assured, we're not going away forever!
It's almost the new school year! Time to start booking a Wild Times program at your school! Through a partnership with the Texas Wildlife Association, I provide live animal programs to local schools (Bexar county and the surrounding counties) at NO COST to the school itself. Space is limited, so early booking is advised!
Contact me via email at [email protected] for more information. Please share with your teacher friends, your kids' teachers, etc. Programs can be tailored for any age group!

There is no official day to celebrate our quilled friends.... Until today! Elmer declares today, July 2, as
It has been brought to our attention that there is no official day to celebrate me, and I'm not sure I'm ok with that! Some zookeeper friends and I have decided to declare today, July 2, as ! Please bring appropriate snacks to properly show your appreciation for those of the 'quilled' persuasion!

It is with great sadness that Wild Times Edutainment says goodbye to one of its original animal ambassadors, Segonku, the striped skunk. Rescued as a young baby, Seggy went on to be a star ambassador - educating thousands of school children all over the United States, in person and in video broadcast programming. At approximately eight years of age, Seg was an old man in skunk terms, and had already retired from "work." His baton has been passed on to his successor, Flower. Rest in peace, little Segonku.
One often overlooked trait of the opossum is what a dedicated mother she is. Can you imagine how uncomfortable all those little hands and feet gripping her fur must be? Yet she will carry and protect those little ones as long as they need her.
