Yesterday, I received this message from Mary Zeigler regarding the passing of Sandi Ashworth. Please remember Sandi in your thoughts and prayers. May she Rest in Peace.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Sandi Ashworth passed away this morning after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Services are being arranged by her family in West Virginia, so it may be a few weeks before
details are available.

All of us remember how much Sandi loved music and Woodridge. She had a unique talent for inspiring her students and developing in them a love for music.

Many of you may know retired Woodridge teacher Sandi Ashworth, the music teacher. Mary Zeigler shared this email and I would like to share it with all of you. Thanks, Mary for letting us know about Sandi's current health situation.

Mary Zeigler wrote:
Just after Thanksgiving, Sandi Ashworth retired Woodridge music teacher, fell, broke her hip, and had surgery to repair the hip. I spoke with her today, and she is on the mend. Currently, she is at Bridgemore Rehabilitation Center but will be released on December 23. She will appreciate receiving cards and notes

As you can imagine, Sandi is still going strong. She informed me that she was holding choir rehearsals via Zoom for a virtual Christmas concert at her church. Her first order of business upon her release is a hair appointment. :)
