New slide show up: https://youtu.be/rsFte_rzsP4
Yesterday, we took our graduated Scuba Educators International Full-Face Mask student, Angela Dial Roth, into the Comal River at New Braunfels Parks and Recreation's Hinman Island Park for some low-visibility, task-loaded training. We figured that if it looked like a raging torrent of Yoohoo Drink on Thursday after the flooding, it'd still be all kinds of turbid by Monday.
Nope. 4-6 feet of viz with a gentle current. Still, we got the opportunity for task loading by handing off the metal detector and taking still photographs of the wildlife.
The result is a short 9-minute slide documentary about some of the local fauna. Angela and Bill are both wearing the Guardian Full Face Mask by Ocean Technology Systems and Bill is wielding the Garrett Metal Detectors Sea Hunter MkII on Thursday after the flooding, it'd still be all kinds of turbid.

New format video is up on the InterritusTraining YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/GFib656JeYA
On 20 May 2025, Interritus Instructor Bill conducted the open water portion of a private Full Face Mask course for Angela Dial Roth ( on Instagram), a current science diver and master's degree candidate with Texas A&M - San Antonio (FB: ).
We trained using Interritus-owned Guardian Full Face Masks by . Angela's attention to detail and focus during the course helped her breeze through the drills, which included both planned and emergency removal of the mask, transitions to her own octo (in the event of mask failure), transition to share air, and recovery of an unconscious diver. All of which makes her a more valuable member of the TAMUSA Science Diver Corps and an overall more aware diver. Also, as she's now certified, we'll have her back out to run these drills on camera for your information and entertainment here.
After concluding the two mandatory open water dives and skills (which she passed with flying colors), we had time left on our reservation at Spring Lake Training Area at , fresh cylinders, and open diving time in the syllabus that was not needed for remediation. So, Angela busted out her camera and took some photos of the beautiful lake area and her instructor. I set them to a stream-of-consciousness voiceover and produced 8 minutes 12 seconds of audio-visual gold for your enjoyment.
Credit for all photos not solely of Angela to: Angela Dial Roth as linked above. If you can see both of her hands, Interritus took that pic.

Got in the water with for a day of Avelo diving at the training area. While our mask-cams didn't catch much, our box cam got a good view of people swimming up from the deep spot.
