Today is the day!

“Fostering Success for Low-Income, First Generation Students.”

Dr. Rendón sharing her wisdom and knowledge from lived experience and research within the first-gen, low income, community. Along with her 2nd edition of her book “Sentipensante (sensing/thinking Pedogogy.” She shares and facilitates how faculty can be culturally diverse and helping prepare students for the world we face today in a position where they can make change through education.

Today was a busy day of research activities for OLLU McNair Scholars!

Starting at home with a few scholars attending the 1st Annual Texas Regional 3MT Competition, to Casandra Rodriguez presenting her work at the Society of Southeastern Social Psychologist Conference in Charlottesville, NC., to Angelique Luna presenting her work at the American College of Sports Medicine Mid-Atlantic Chapter Conference in Lancaster, PA where she also walked away with an award. Special shout out to Rebecca Donato, McNair alumn and current program Graduate Assistant, who presented her work at today's 3MT competition.
