Thanks so much to our morale team, THE Gateway Scoops, for another lively event! Our Cupcake War was another one for the books. Scoops, thanks so much for all the work you all put into planning, decorating and executing our event! To the bakers, tasters and spectators that cheered everyone on, you are amazing!!!! And a big congratulations to our winners...Ms. Clio (PS teacher), Ms. Caron (Front Desk Clerk) and Ms. Yashira (Assistant Director)!!!

What a wonderful way to conclude our Month of the Military Child! Gateway CDC was honored to host two members of the 59th IPTS, who provided an engaging and educational demonstration for our children. A heartfelt thank you to A1C Craig and Arnold for showcasing medical equipment and first aid procedures in such an exciting and memorable way. We’re already looking forward to next year’s fantastic presentation!

This week, Gateway Child Development Program was fortunate to receive a visit from the 802nd Security Forces Squadron. Our children had a wonderful time exploring the cruisers and other equipment they were able to experience firsthand. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to MSgt Shannon Dyer and the other Security Forces members for generously sharing their time and knowledge with our program.

This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our 18th Annual Purple Up Parade. Gateway CDC takes great pride in the role we play in the lives of military children. Our preschool classrooms, located at a separate site, were fortunate to participate in Lackland CDC's Purple Up Parade. A heartfelt thank you to Lackland CDC for welcoming us and making us feel like a valued part of their program.

This week, the 502d FSS Director, Mr. Kline, celebrated some truly dedicated education professionals. These individuals have given 20, 30 and even 40 years of selfless service and commitment supporting military families across the DOD entities and continents. Please help us congratulate them for being lifelong learners and educators!!! 🎊🎊🎉🎉🎈🎈
