Dear students:

On behalf of the Provost and President, it is my pleasure to announce the selection of Dr. David Maize as the new dean of the Feik School of Pharmacy.

The search was a robust activity, joined by numerous persons form several segments of the profession, including interactions with students and alumni.

The initial field of applicants included 17 persons from across the nation. The field was narrowed to 8, then 5, then 3 by the committee. Dr. Light brought two persons back for another round of conversation. From this dynamic interchange, Dr. Maize rose to the top as the best fit for the Feik School of Pharmacy.

Congratulations to Dr. Maize! Join him and all of the FSOP in moving us to even greater heights!

The Pharmacist is responsible for the continuation of pharmacy management’s goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. Management skills and accuracy are required to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer efficiently and safely.
